What is Mystic Cards?

Some of you may remember waaaay back in the day an old TCG named Mystic Cards that ran from 2002 to about 2006 - one of the "old generation" TCGs. This Mystic Cards is the revival of the old - a rebirth of sorts - that is still run by the same old Mystic, just a little older and more adapt at managing time (^^;)

What is a TCG?

Mystic Cards is an online 'TCG' - Trading Card Game. Much like collecting and trading real life baseball cards or -shudder- Pokemon cards, your objective is to collect the cards you want. Each "digital" card is a part of a larger set or "deck" and if you are able to collect the entire deck, you "master" the deck and earn a reward. If you get cards you do not need or want, you trade them for cards you want by either bargaining with other members of the site or by other methods discussed on other pages of this site.

Trading & Trading Posts/Website

To be able to trade you must have a website or a Trading Post to house/display your cards. These aren't very hard to create and only need a very basic understanding of HTML. If you are a newbie when building a website, try places like Geocities or other free webspace hosts; if you have a basic understanding of HTML and FTP and still need some space, I can also help you by offering you some space on my host - just get in contact with me and ask. Other good places to help you start websites are any design sites like Day Dream Graphics or Blinding-Light.

As far as trading, once you have built your Trading Post, be sure to visibly mark either by headers or by notations which cards you are willing to trade or collecting. By doing this, other members of MC will be able to understand if you are open to trade. To be able to trade, check out the Member List and see who is collecting what. By selecting and visiting one of the member's page, you can browse through their card collections to see if there is anything you are willing to trade with them for a card they have. Once you've made a decision that you would like to trade with them, simply email them and ask for a trade. Be sure to include the IDs for the card(s) you want to trade in your email! Do not automatically think they will trade with you and take their cards - wait for their response before you make a trade. Once a trade has been completed, make sure you log it and switch the card you traded for out with the card you traded. If you need a reference to what a trading post should look like - google TCG Trading Post. There are tons of examples of ways you can set up a trading post and what they should look like. If you need any help setting up a TCG Post or are confused about anything, feel free to email me.
